Muslims follow him as he is the Prophet of Allah ﷻ while the non-Muslims place him at higher status due to his principal character. Is there anyone else who is at this level of cynosure?
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ stating about himself as:
Indeed he is a pluperfect and bright personality due to his best character traits of which some are as follows:
All for Allah’s Sake
Every moment of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ life is spent for the sake of Allah Almighty. He was the incredibly selfless person whose only motive was to fulfill the commandments of Allah SWT. The event of Taif is the actual depiction of his selflessness about which one of His Companions reports:
“The Prophet (PBUH) resembled a Prophet who was harmed by His people. He wiped the blood from His face and said: “O God! Forgive my people, for they know not!” (Bukhari)
Mannerism
Our beloved Prophet ﷺ is the epitome of excellent manners. He possessed the highest morals and conduct that a person could ever present. His ethics and methods were ideal that the world has ever seen. According to one of his companion:
“The Prophet (PBUH) did not swear at anyone, nor was He rude, nor did He curse anyone. If He desired to reprimand someone, He would say: What is wrong with him, may dust be cast in his face!” (Bukhari)
Humor
People take a religious leader as being all strict and stringent which is untrue for the head of prophets Muhammad PBUH. Just like his other traits, his sense of humor was finest and optimum. It has nothing to do with vulgarity or debasing others. According to Anas (RA):
“Once a man asked Muhammad (PBUH) for an animal to ride. He replied that He would give him the baby of a she-camel to ride on. The man asked ‘What would he do with a she-camel baby? ‘Muhammad (PBUH) replied, Is there any camel which is not born of a she-camel
Kind to Kids
Prophet Muhammad PBUH used to shower love and mercy upon kids. He would play with them and enjoy their company. He ordered parents to be caring and loving towards their children. Prophet Muhammad PBUH used to say to kids:
“I’ll give and such (i.e. gift or so) to who comes to me first.”So they used to race and fall on His back and chest. (Ahmed)
Generosity
Who could be more generous than our last Prophet Muhammad PBUH? He always preferred others over his self and fulfilled the needs of every person who asks for him something. Muslims must learn a lesson from his generosity and spread examples to others. According to a saying:
“The Prophet (PBUH) did not refuse to give anything which He had someone if he asked for it.” (Bukhari)
Cooperation
Prophet Muhammad PBUH is the hallmark of collaboration. While he was the highest and best amongst people yet he was extremely cooperative towards others and helped others in every way. He was a paradigm of greatness and grandeur he never for even once dealt himself as someone special rather he used to mix with public. In the Battle of Trench one of his companions narrates:
“I saw the Messenger of Allah on the day of the Trench carrying dirt (that was dug from the trench) Unitel His chest was covered with dirt.” (Bukhari)
Indeed, Muhammad PBUH is the blessing of Allah SWT on mankind. He showed us the righteous path that leads to Allah and His blessings. May Allah provide us opportunities to follow the path of Allah’s Apostle ﷺ and help us to lead a life that Allah and His Messenger wanted us to, Ameen.
